Apple has announced that it will host its most significant launch event on September 7, where it is expected that the iPhone 14 series will debut, in addition to AirPods and a new Apple Watch.

Apple may also showcase the updated version of iOS, which usually is released sometime after the phones are announced.

The iPhone 14 line-up has been in the news for some time, with reports of the iPhone 14 series expected to come in four flavors – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Since the Mini iPhone didn’t have many takers, Apple will most likely ditch the compact phone and launch a new maxed-up version of the base variant. The increase in multimedia and online content consumption might have forced the company to ditch the smaller iPhone in favor of a big-screen device.

With the iPhone 14 series, Apple is expected to do away with the massive notch and opt for a rather large pill-shaped hole-punch design for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

However, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will continue adorning the old notch.

Besides the phones, Apple is rumored to update its smart wearable line-up with the Apple Watch 8 series. In addition to the iterative updates and exciting features like the ability to monitor body temperature, we might also see a rugged Pro variant of the smartwatch.

Further, various experts and industry analysts have hinted that Covid-19-led disruptions in the supply chain and increased component prices might force Apple to hike the prices of iPhones.
