Globally, almost all countries, including the Middle East, are changing lanes and embracing electric cars.

Apart from some obvious positives, such as reduced emissions and a reduced environmental impact, EVs are cheaper in the long run, offer a quieter drive, and are also touted as the new cool toy on the street. Of course, another strong reason to move to an EV is the rising fuel prices.

As conscious environmentalists, we’ve listed a few electric cars you should consider if you plan to move to the EV era.

Tesla Model 3

Tesla’s Model 3 deserves the hype. With a blend of style and excellent performance, Tesla’s Model 3 is EV-enthusiast’s favorite. Among its impressive features, the autopilot feature is a hit, which isn’t available in other cars. Available in three trims: a single-motor RWD powertrain in the Standard Range Plus, and two dual-motor, AWD trims in the Long Range and Performance versions. Seating is available for up to five and is said to offer 23 cubic feet of cargo space. It might not be the cheapest electric car, but it offers a great range and a comfortable luxurious ride.

MG ZS EV

With a stylish design and great comfort, the MG ZS EV is the first all-electric model from MG in the Middle East. The vehicle travels for 335km NEDC on a single battery charge and is fast charging, allowing up to 80% of the battery to be recharged in 40 minutes. Offering great speed, performance, and a comfortable experience, the MG ZS EV is a great choice.

Mercedes-Benz EQC

The gorgeous Mercedes-Benz EQC reeks of luxury. In terms of design, some highlights include a black-panel radiator grille, LED luminescent band front and rear, and a widescreen cockpit. The electric motor on the front and rear axle work together to transform the electric energy saved in the battery into mechanical energy, creating an output of 300 kW (408 hp). To minimize electricity consumption and maximize dynamics, the electric drive systems are designed differently: the front electric machine has been optimized for the best possible efficiency for the low to medium load range, while the rear determines dynamics. The EQC almost redefines the driving experience, offering solid performance.
